How to Keep Your Cat Off Your Wedding Dress

I have been worried for months about how to keep my cat (and her super pointy claws) off of my silks without shutting her in the bedroom (and thus having to listen to meowing and thunking on the door as she jumped to try to turn the doorknob).  She always, as you may have seen from several of the photos on this blog, gets right in the middle of the sewing project.  This Saturday, as I was disassembling the muslin, Luna was sitting in all the bits I wasn't currently working with.  And so, a stroke of genius:  I took some pieces of muslin, laid them out for her on the couch, set her on them, and Voila!...Kitty stayed put all day.
